With its intriguing narrative and extraordinary cinematography, Octav is an impressive debut feature film by Serge Ioan Celebidachi. This emotionally affecting tale focuses on an elderly man named Octav, who, upon visiting the region where he spent his childhood, encounters an apparition of his childhood friend, a young girl. With the young girl acting as his guide, Octav then takes a journey through the annals of his long personal history, uncovering more about himself and the people he loves than he ever thought possible. Lauded for its pace and storytelling, Octav is the recipient of numerous international awards, including the Best Film Award at the 2018 Prague International Film Festival, and at the 2018 Beijing Film Festival.
