When Vincent, a New York based filmmaker, attends the Maltese premiere of his new film at a festival in Valetta, he is surprised at the screening by Annalisa, his Spanish ex-lover who walked out on him five years earlier. Reconnecting for a day, they confront their tangled past, present, and possible future. While things go well initially, both Vincent and Annalisa realize that they are entering dangerous emotional territory once again, encountering the same complications that tore them apart in the first place. Set against the stunning cityscapes and seascapes of Malta, Made in Malta is part existential drama, part valentine to loves lost and, perhaps, loves regained. In English.
